Parents and Guardians can create Swimtopia accounts when they register their children for the swim team, and can use Swimtopia to manage personal information, declare swimmers for swim meets, sign up for volunteer roles, and see historical swim times for your swimmers throughout the swim team season. Email addresses that are used to register for Swimtopia accounts will be used by the swim team to send information, announcements, and notifications to parents and guardians.

This registration form includes important information that must be acknowledged by parents/guardians. Please contact a team representative if you have any questions about any of the information in this registration form. Acceptance of the swim team rules is required during the registration process, and non-compliance with those terms and requirements may result in disciplinary action that could include removal from practices or events or dismissal from the team.

Eligibility

The Bradley Farm Wave swim team is open to residents of the Bradley Farm and Emerald Chase Homeowners Associations. Swim team participants whose accounts are not in good standing with their respective homeowners association may not be allowed to participate in swim team activities and events until their accounts are brought into compliance. If the swim team determines that a participants homeowners association account is not in good standing as of June 9th, the swim team may elect to refund their registration fees, less any credit card transaction fees.

The minimum age to participate on the swim team is 4 years old, and swimmers that compete will be assigned to age groups based on their actual age on the day of the first swim meet. If you have questions or concerns about your child's ability to participate, please speak to a team representative or coach.

The number of registrations accepted for the Junior Wave program may be limited based on staffing availability each season. These staffing requirements help ensure the safety of our swimmers and the quality of our instructional programs.

Registration forms and all appliable fees must be received by the swim team before swimmers will be permitted to attend practices or swim meets.

If you decide to withdraw your child from the swim team during the first two weeks of the season, you can request a refund of your registration fees. For the 2025 season, registration fees will be non-refundable beginning June 10, 2025. Please email [email protected] or contact your team representative no later than June 9th if you would like to withdraw your child from the team and request a refund.

The Bradley Farm Wave is part of the Herndon Swim League. Swim team participants, including swimmers, spectators, and parents/guardians, are expected to comply with the Herndon Swim League Code of Conduct (https://hsl.swimtopia.com/code-of-conduct) and the Bradley Farm Pool Rules (https://www.bradleyfarm.org/poolrules).

Children under age 12 must be accompanied by a responsible caregiver when participating in practices or swim meets, in accordance with the Bradley Farm pool rules regarding unaccompanied minors. Unaccompanied minors will be excluded from practices and competitions.

Parents/guardians of swimmers who participate in swim meets are required to serve in volunteer roles on the swim team. Depending on the role, volunteer jobs may be assigned for the entire season, or they may be assigned for a given swim meet or event. Some volunteer roles may require parents to log into Swimtopia to sign-up for jobs prior to events. Parents/guardians will receive instructions for signing up for volunteer roles following registration, and swimmers may be excluded from competition if volunteer requirements are not met.

Participation in the Bradley Farm Wave swim team carries inherent risks, including risk of injury and exposure to communicable diseases. The swim team implements procedures to minimize these risks to the extent possible, such as complying with state and local laws, regulations, and health codes, and following recommendations and guidelines from governing bodies such as the CDC, USA Swimming, and the Herndon Swim League. Swim team participants are expected to follow instructions from swim team volunteer leaders and coaching staff in order to minimize risks and provide a positive environment for the team. Failure to follow instructions from swim team staff, or violations of the code of conduct may result in corrective action including and up to: removal from practice, suspension from swim meets, or removal from the team.
